Breakfast Oat Mug Cake

How would you like cake for breakfast? Delicious, GENUINELY HEALTHY cake?
Give this recipe a try. It'll make breakfast feel like dessert, and give you another quick recipe to add to your repertoire. It's super easy customize too!

Ingredients
  

Baked Oats:

  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup oat milk
  • 1/3 banana
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp almond butter / peanut butter

Optional Toppings:

  • Blueberries
  • Banana
  • More nut butter!

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients together in a mug or ramekin (If you are making 2 or more servings, it can be easier to mix in a bowl and then divide into mugs/ ramekins)
  • Microwave at full power for 5 minutes, individually, for best results (dry cake-y texture)

Notes

  • If you don’t have baking powder, in a pinch, you can use 1/2 tsp soda + squeeze of lemon instead.
  • We like to serve it alongside our Strawberries and Cream smoothie
